Javier the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Novo Behavioral Services. He is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and serves as Novo’s Chief Clinical Officer. As the Chief Clinical Officer, Javier oversees all clinical services for Novo Behavioral Services. He has over 16 years of experience treating individuals with special needs in various settings, including the clinic, school, home, and community-based settings. In addition, he has expertise in implementing Pivotal Response Treatment using a competency-based fidelity model and treating severe challenging behavior.
Javier has earned his Bachelor of Psychology from California State Fullerton, a Master of Science in psychology with an emphasis in Child and Adolescent Development from Southern New Hampshire University, and his BCBA coursework at the Florida Institute of Technology. He is currently in the process of earning his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He resides in Los Angeles County, with his wife, son, and two dogs.

Highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with experience using applied
behavior analysis (ABA) as a Behavior Interventionist, Case Manager, Parent Trainer, Clinical
Supervisor, and Clinical Director. My passion is to serve the client and family receiving ABA
services while ensuring individualized and quality care that meets the standards of the Behavior
Analyst Certification Board (BACB). I am a team player who works diligently to build up the
staff I am responsible for by way of supervising, active listening, providing detailed and
consistent feedback, and training. I have over 7 years of experience supervising clients with ages
ranging from 2-45 years old and have been a certified BCBA since 02/2019.
I found my career and love for autism at an early age. I have been working within the field since 2008. I have engaged in every level of treatment including one-on-one, parent training, supervision and now as tan owner of a leading ABA computer in Southern California. My education was obtained at the California State University, Fullerton in the BA in English and Psychology. I eventually received my BCBA from the university of
I have been working within the field since 2007 when I graduated from California Lutheran University with a degree in criminal justice. I wanted to advance my career within the social services and obtained a master’s in social work from California State University, Long beach. I continued my love for Applied behavioral Analysis and wanting to help others and therefore, we opened the door of Novo Behavioral service. I am proud to be helping others for the past 15 years of service.
